Since forming The First Dance in 2006 I have successfully taught and choreographed wedding dances for over 275 couples.
I have recently appeared on Living TV’s Four Weddings, taught a 12 week Ballroom and Latin course for Allianz Insurance, hosted a Salsa evening for Sutton Tennis Club and also choreographed bridal fashion shows for ‘From This Moment Bridal Studios’ (located in Ewell, Surrey) held at the ‘Celebrated Affairs’ wedding exhibition at the Epsom Grandstand.
I don’t claim to be a World Champion dancer. I am a social dancer. And that is what I will teach you to be in a fun and informal atmosphere using popular music.
I can teach you from complete beginner up to an Intermediate standard (including the Bronze and Silver Ballroom & Latin syllabus). To enhance your learning experience I cover all aspects of how to dance including footwork and partnering techniques, how to recognise different types of music, etiquette and how to navigate a busy dance floor – all essential for successful, confident dancing!
For me, the most important aspect of dancing is about having fun, and a few basic, stylish steps danced well can look just as good as anything on Strictly Come Dancing.
Dance is an in-expensive, effective and low-impact exercise and a fantastic way to socialise (and of course to add an extra highlight to your wedding day!).
In fact, I met my husband through dance classes … our first dance was to Shania Twain’s Forever and Always.
